ADVERTISING
I love doing illustrations for advertising. Realistic images, a little cartoonish, funny characters and situations, manga, comic style, etc., especially the ones with human figures.
I am, especially, inspired by three great american artists: Leyendecker, Rockwell and Elvgreen. Their works were amazing for advertising.
I hope you like some samples of my work at the left side. Just click on one of the image to see it in larger window.
There are different styles of images, some of them done for clients, some for my personal portfolio.
The best presentation for your product is a good image and good images is what I do best.
CHILDREN ILLUSTRATIONS
Doing Children Illustrations seems something easy to do.
Far from it. Children are a very demanding audience.
In a children book, for instance, images need to be very appealing, concerning to design aspects like: artline, shapes, style, colors, composition, etc.
The images will contribute for a good story telling making the reading easier, more pleasant and many times, the images are the story itself.
In a illustrated children book, good illustrations are the difference between great sales or not.
Another important issue in a book is the cover. When the buyer looks at the books on the shelves, the most appealing cover is the one that grabs the buyer's attention.
See some samples of my children illustrations and think about what they could do for your project.
COMMISSIONING
Here are some samples of commissionsk I have done. I have worked for four years in the comic industry as colorist and digital painter, but I also used to do artwork for myself. This is why most of my clients, fans, collectors, etc., ask me to do comic book and fantasy characters.
Commissioned art is very often for private collectors and clients that usually purchase a piece of art that is unique and personal.
Commissioned art is different than commercial art. Everything is different and each commisson varies slightly since the conception through to completion. Owning a exculsive work of art is a pleasurable and enjoyable experience.
There are things that are priceless and by having an unique piece of work done exclusive for you is like that.
To commission a work from an artist is simple and easy since some points are agreed like: timeline, fees, shiping costs, moral rights, etc.
If you want commission me for a piece of art, please contact me.
SKETCHES
Most of time, I start my works by doing a pencil sketch.
A good sketch makes the job easier and defines the directions for both client and artist.
I prefer doing detailed and more refined sketches as possible when working in a project.
Sketches, however, are not only for client's job, I do sketches for my personal projects as well as for my studies and also... for fun.
At the left side, you will see some samples from a variety of sketches I have done.
I think that showing a little of my sketches is another way of showing a little of the artist I am without using words.
